GeerCrest Farm is a historic and educational farm, settled in 1847, and was the boy
hood home of famous political cartoonist Homer Davenport. We have a goat dairy,
Davenport Arabian horses, and other animals, gardens and fruit trees. During the
school year, classes come for field trips and up to week long farm stays. Several
weeks of Camp are offered throughout he summer. Anyone is welcome to come here
for Farm Stays (Bed & Breakfast with a farm experience), and there are monthly
Farm Dinners featuring local chefs preparing meals of farm fresh food, paired with
local wines. The GeerCrest Farm Foundation and Historical Society hopes to offer
regular history tours in the coming months.
